A military course well worth the price even for civilians. The course is generally flat but don't let that fool you. It can be challanging with good par 3's and some long par 5's. If you play the blues, 9 is 641 yards long. (Par 6?)Greens are worthy of a good putter. The club house is excellent and the pro-shop is good. The staff are gracious and helpful. The driving range is also good, and convenient. I play this course almost weekly and never tire of it.

Miramar is a long straight layout. Some memorable holes, some long holes. Challenging 9th par 5, good par 3's. Holes along the highways require that you keep the ball in play. Hey, it's a an affordable tract on a military base. It's open, the best view is of the military aircraft flying around. The clubhouse / proshop / restaurant are as good as any muni around. For the price, it's a good tract to work on driving straight, your irons and general conditioning.

Course is coming back around to excellent condition at time of play. Planning on playing course again at least twice in the next month. Now is open to civilians for play, tee-time reservations. Can't wait for Spring and Summer when the course is in its best condition.

A fairly flat layout that contains lots of trees, making it quite challanging unless you can keep it down to the middle. If not. trouble will be the name of the game. Greens are good. fairways are being developed and will be in great shape in the future. I will play this one often.

I just played today, tee time 6:48. The greens have just been "micro perfed" but even with this they may be some of the best greens in San Diego. The course is now open the the public. The layout is not too difficult, but there are some very tricky holes and one very long par 5, 641 yards from the blues! The fairways are average to above average, we just had rain and there were areas of standing water. I will absolutely be back, I love a course with great greens.

FIRST FEW HOLES LULL YOU INTO BOTH COMPLACENCY AND RELAXATION. PAR,BOGIE,BIRDIE, PAR, BIRDIE- THEN THE FUN BEGINS WITH TRICKY PAR 3, #1 HOLE AND THEN SOME OLD TREES WHICH GUARD 9MASK?) THE GREENS. JET NOISE PLENTIFUL- DIDN'T BOTHER ME- BUT PLAYER ASSISTANT DID.
